The Stampeders’ “From The Fire” represents the Calgary trio at their creative peak, following up their breakout success with “Sweet City Woman” by diving deeper into their prairie rock sound. This 1973 release showcases the band’s ability to blend country-tinged rock with sophisticated pop sensibilities, featuring Rich Dodson’s distinctive guitar work and the tight harmonies that made them one of Canada’s most successful exports of the early ’70s.
