The album’s centerpiece, “Shame on the Moon,” became Seger’s biggest hit of the decade, but deeper cuts like “Little Victories” and “Roll Me Away” reveal an artist pushing beyond his comfort zone, incorporating synthesizers and more polished production courtesy of the Silver Bullet Band’s tightest lineup.
