Released on February 27, 1999, via Massacre Records, Anything Worth Doing Is Worth Overdoing is a definitive slice of melodic metal from Danish stalwarts Pretty Maids. Building on the momentum of their 1997 release Spooked, this album captures the band maintaining their classic hard-rock spirit with a polished, late-90s production edge.

The album is characterized by its high-pitched vocals, driving riffs, and infectious hooks that bridge the gap between heavy metal and radio-friendly melodic rock. Critics and fans alike have praised the release for its consistency, earning an impressive 86% rating on Metal-Archives. It stands as a testament to the bands ability to deliver high-quality European hard rock during an era when the genre was often overlooked.

Key tracks include:

• “City Light” An instantly catchy, melodic opener.
• “Snakes In Eden” Featuring the bands signature tight, driving riffs.
• “Destination Paradise” A standout example of their melodic metal prowess.
• “Hell On High Wheels” Showcasing the high-energy performance the band is known for.

This enhanced CD edition is a must-have for collectors and fans of melodic metal looking to complete their Pretty Maids discography with a “worthy follow-up” that refuses to compromise on power or melody.
