The Ruins of Beverast were formed in early 2003 and named after the most bloodcurdling event of ancient Mid and Northeuropean eschatology – the collapse the Bifrst. This incident bears analogy to the musical aura of the band, which builds their sonic landscape on a downtuned ground. On their seventh full-length album, Tempelschlaf, their cinematic auditory nightmares reached a new level of psychedelia and insanity.
